Description
C481, Parma, 19th Century
Good, dark sounding Italian violin at a very interesting price!
This violin has been made in Parma in the 19th century and is reminiscent in style of Mori-Costa. In the Hill workshops it was cut down from a larger instrument into its current size. The change of size can still be seen by the replaced f-holes and its edgework.
It has a stunning poplar back, its scroll is most probably by the hand of Mori Costa.
Body Length: 357mm
