George Wulme-Hudson
S3278 George Wulme-Hudson, London, Circa. 1920
This great sounding violin is in exceptionally good condition. George Wulme-Hudson is one of our favourite English makers.
This is one of the nicest examples of this excellent maker we have seen and sold so far. The Guadagnini inspired violin is stamped “Gio. Caressi” on the top block, as with many of Wulme-Hudson’s instruments. Its front is made of Canadian Cedar with its typical red winter grain he used after purchasing from Lathams timber yard in Hackney.
