Maker: circle of Tubbs, Circa. 1800
Description: Interesting bow probably by a member of the Tubbs family. This is an interesting take on the Cramer model showing perfectly how the head shape creates a wide band of hair. The bow is made of what is sometimes called Beefwood or Bloodwood Satine.
Playing Qualities: the bow is light in the hand, works well especially in the upper third.
Mounts: bone frog and adjuster
Weight: 54 grams
Lapping (wrap): none as yet
Balance Point: 248 mm
Length 610 mm
Condition: Stick is very good, the frog has one crack (repaired). The later adjuster is in good condition.
