Stock #: S3847 Furber, Mathew London circa 1820
This cello has a two piece maple back of irregular ripple. The ribs and scroll are of plainer maple. The front is typical of Mathew Furber’s choice of a well reeded pine. It is varnished in a dark golden brown colour. This is a Stradivari model.
Sound: Strong, even and rounded tone.
Condition: Good condition with some old repairs and restored by the brilliant Mike Byrd
