Stock #: C3158 Ludwig Neuner, Berlin, 1875
A very good example of Ludwig’s work. This instrument was made after his 7 years working in the Vuillaume workshop. The influence of the fine work of the Vuillaume shop are imprinted on this instrument in the varnish, the edgework, careful arching and the purfling. Lovely clear varnish and good wood selection. It’s work of master quality. Slightly smaller in size.
Sound: This is a cello that you can really dig into without it breaking up. This ability allows one to create a good range of colours.
Condition: very good.
Original varnish, few cracks. Ask for condition report.
Principle dimensions: Back: 756 mm
