Leicht Bows

We are now stocking excellent quality bows made by Christian Leicht, one of the best of the new generation of German bow makers.

Born and raised in Bad Brambach, an area famous for its heritage of fine instrument making, Leicht was immersed from an early age in bow making and became apprentice to master bow makers Heiko Wunderlich and Steffen Kuhnla.

In 2009 Leicht set up his own workshop in Treuen and his bows are popular all over Europe. Bows start from £800.

The Leicht Cello Bow is reminiscent of the early 19th Century German bows with graceful lines, dark pernambuco stick set off nicely with a solid silver face. This bow is ideal for players Grade 5 and over. It is easy to play, with excellent weight, response, dynamic range and balance. Weight: 81.7 gms

The Leicht Violin Bow has a rich, chocolate coloured pernambuco stick with overlaid one piece silver adjuster on ebony. A pleasure to play and performs an excellent spicatto.  Weight: 61 gms
